'How to' & other interesting stuff

Land Rover Driving Technique

An official Land Rover film from the 1970's that promotes the correct way to drive these highly capable vehicles.

If you're confused by the three gear levers and when to use them in what combination this will put you straight.

Also explained is hill climbing and descent, as is altering tyre presures to deal with different surfaces.

How & Why?!

This is nearly an hour long film made for Land Rover dealerships that plots the first 50 years of Land Rover (and Range Rover) history and developement.

Well worth a look for anyone who is interested in the marque and how it comes to be what it is.

Fitting a full canvas tilt.

Exmoor Trim's instructional video on how to fit one of their replacement canvas tilts. This one is a direct replacement for an ex-military series 3 109, I'm sure it's much the same process for the various different hoods and wheelbases but you will find more of these on their website (www.exmoortrim.co.uk).

More off-road driving guidance

This is quite a comprehensive guide to driving off road using later Land Rover and Range Rover models. It may be narated by an American but is none the less a usefull video!

M1 The 1st Motorway!
(Give me a muddy lane anyday)

A nice little look back but who ever thought motorways were a step forward?

I think the only thing wrong with the AA Superintendent's 'gallon of petrol and lit it' was that he clearly didn't use enough of the stuff as the motorway is still there!

All the same look out for the Series AA patrol vehicles.

Classic Ad Footage.

Check this video out for a look at how some of the classic Landies were advertised........
